| Located at the northern end of Sonoma County,
Cloverdale residents and visitors enjoy a
wonderful combination of warm sunny weather
and many recreational opportunities. Cloverdale
has just completed a decade of redesign and
development and now boasts a charming ambiance
with dining along the boulevard. There is
a new plaza for concerts and Cloverdale hosts
annual events including the Black Bart Festival,
Cloverdale Citrus Fair, Historical Homes Tour
and the Old Time Fiddle Contest.
Cloverdale’s combination of climate,
relatively affordable housing, small town
charm and its geographic proximity to larger
employment centers is attracting new residents.
The town’s new 70 acre Russian River
Park offers kayak and canoe launching or
a leisurely stroll and is the longest park
along the entire Russian River. Lake Sonoma
is only minutes away from Cloverdale and
is surrounded by lovely green to golden
foothills as spring unfolds into summer.
Opening soon is the Alexander Valley Resort
Hotel, Spa and Villas, which will feature
tennis and a championship golf course.
Cloverdale is in the northern end of the
famed Alexander Valley, home to many wineries
and the largest vineyard region in Sonoma
County. The full service North Coast Wine
& Visitor Center serves several regional
appellations.
Weather
Cloverdale is among the warmest communities
in Sonoma County, with summertime temperatures
averaging between high 70’s and mid
80’s and sometimes into the 90’s,
cooling to the high 50’s in the evenings.
Wintertime temperatures in Cloverdale range
between the 30’s to the 50’s,
with some occasional frost. Average rainfall
is between 35 and 40 inches per year, concentrated
between November and March.

Housing
Compared to most other communities in Sonoma
County, Cloverdale is relatively affordable
since it is on the northern end of the county,
putting it outside of the normal commute
range to San Francisco. In addition to the
possibilities of restoring an older Victorian,
a craftsman bungalow or updating a vintage
rancher, today’ buyer may also choose
from a number of newer condominiums and
small subdivision developments.
